NRA Basic Pistol Shooting
The NRA Basic Pistol Course was developed by the NRA to meet the needs of the beginner as well as the experienced shooter. This course is a first of three course instructions designed for Home protection and Outside the Home Protection.
This 8-hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot revolvers and semi-automatic pistols. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest position, and two handed standing positions; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development.Students will need a firearm and 150 rounds of ammunition. We DO NOT ALLOW RELOADS. If Student doesn’t have a firearm a .22 caliber pistol can be rented with ammunition for an extra $30.00 per person per gun. Your firearm must be unloaded and in a gun bag or case when brought to the classroom.
